Food

Being a healthy school and promoting a healthy lifestyle is something we feel is very important.

Children can choose whether they want to have a hot meal or a packed lunch. If you would like your child to go home for lunch either on a regular basis or for occasional days, we ask that you tell us in writing.

All children eat their lunch together in our school hall. We actively encourage good table manners and, where necessary, teach children cutlery skills. As part of our Healthy Eating programme, we actively encourage that lunchboxes contain healthy foods, and request that no fizzy drinks or sweets are sent in to school for lunches. Children are taught to know about the five food groups and which foods are healthy choices.
